Roopal Badheka is an Indian-American screenwriter, executive producer, and corporate executive who has written several pilots and features, published various short stories, and wrote a popular movie-scene inspired self-help blog for the last decade. This Jersey girl, who’s made Texas home now, has an impressive body of work that has placed in the Austin Film Festival, Stowe Story Labs, the ISA Fast Track Fellowship Competitions, and many others, including being on the Coverfly Red List. Prevalent themes in her work represent coming of age and origin stories about fitting in and self-acceptance, derived from the Indian cultural influences within her American Jersey-Texas upbringing. Her favorite genres are drama, mystery, and dramedy, peppered with inspiration from history and science fiction.
